I've had a major sweet tooth lately and decided what better way to satisfy those cravings than to get into the spirit of October. So I chose to bake vegan cream cheese pumpkin pie. This is a picture I snapped before me and my sister both licked the blender clean of any remaining batter.
After letting the pie bake for an hour or so we pulled it out and it looked like any ordinary pumpkin pie..
I used a store bought graham cracker crust but if you have a favorite crust recipe feel free to use it. I cut the first slice and had to put the camera down almost immediately to indulge!
If you look closely you can see two different color layers. I poured some of the batter in the crust before adding the pumkin puree to get this two-color effect. So the bottom is regular cheese cake and the top is pumpkin cheese cake. It was delicious!
I am not that big on cheese cake myself but it is somewhat of a subtle cheese cake flavor, which I loved. My sisters both did as well! I still have some pumpkin left over so it's safe to say I will be making this more often over the holidays.

midnight munchies
I've had a lot of free time on my hands lately and decided it would be a good time to take up a hobby. I chose to start experimenting in the kitchen more and found that it was no fun measuring, mixing, and taste testing all by myself. Luckily, I have sisters and brothers who more than happy to assist with the "tasting" portion at least, and they are no easy critics. My blog will show pictures and tell stories about my progress. Most of what I make will be vegan and delicious, so feel free to ask for recipes.
